Day 14 - Kovalam

Took a walk along the beach again, and paid the balance on the trips we've booked, before having an iced coffee with ice cream, in the Rock Cafe, that we discovered yesterday.  Ice coffee with ice cream, it's like a caffeine loaded milkshake.

Karen ended up with four sarong sellers beating each others prices in a bid to get her custom.  It was pretty funny up to a point, where we just buggered off and left them to it.

A snack in the hotel for lunch, before hitting the beach that the hotel sits on. The waves are way too big go swimming, but we sat on a rock just in the edge of the water and managed not to get washed off.  Gave up when the tide started coming in and it got a bit wild.  The wind got really strong, we sat on the veranda reading and drinking coffee.

Later when it had calmed down, we headed along the beach and into town.  Had dinner watching people on the beach as the sun went down, and got some pretty decent photos.  The beaches here are throbbing in the evening.  A lot busier than during the day, when it's really really hot.

After dinner, we headed back to the Rock Cafe again for a drink before walking back to the hotel.  Really need to pick up a torch as the path along the beach isn't lit at all.  It's "fun" to navigate in the pitch dark.
