Breakfast for Karen was basically shite. For three days now she's asked for something off the menu only to be told "No it's not on today, have this." Today she asked for a masala dosa to be told there was no masala dosas, they brought her what they wanted without giving her a choice. When she complained, suddenly she was told she could have a masala dosa, except what they then brought was not a masa dosa. So we abandoned it and went out for breakfast.
Apart form the restaurant, we've had no complaints with the hotel, in fact, it's was excellent. It's just one member of staff who was a knob.
Anyway, into the car and off to Kovalam. Wow! The hotel is really nice, and Kovalam has four beaches in seperate bays. Really nice.
The hotel sits right on one of them, and walking into town, we pass and walk along the others. It's a really chilled out place, but doesn't have the hippy vibe of Varkala.
Had lunch in the hotel before heading out, then just had some snacks in a couple of places along the beach (along with a couple of un-licensed beers). It's a little pricier than Varkala, but only a little. Still damn cheap though.
We've got a couple of trips booked as well, so looking forward to that.
